Take the colour of a fresh lettuce
Mix with the brave bloody juice of tomatoes
and add a yulk of an egg to bright our precious flag.
Don't forget to add fatum* - our ingredient the most sweet
Turn the lack of freedom into puré
Serve this 'mix' with passion and pride.

* fatum is a latin word which was in the origin of the name of the Portuguese world music genre "fado" and its meaning is "destino" (fate) and "saudade" (wistfulness)
